Shaping up to be a warm, wet month. We've already had several times December's average rainfall (that's not saying much though):

Much warmer than yesterday morning, low was a balmy 20F. High hit 25F yesterday, which is 11 below average. High is forecasted to hit 32F, warming trend is coming, I see 40s by the weekend with rain. My 2" snowpack is threatened lol What is the monthly temperature anomoly for there? Has it been that far below average? Well I'm reporting from my PWS, not Pittsburgh's NWS site. They are running 36.8/26.4 which is -3.7F so far, but still above for the whole month. Comparing my numbers to a more accurate airport climate numbers at KBTP, I'm running 33.4/22.7 which is -4.1F for the month (I only have 5 years of data from my PWS at my location)

Boring as hell lately. Highs the past 9 days were:
32, 34, 37, 30, 32, 34, 33, 33, 34
Cant really get more stable then that.
It also hasn’t been outside the 29-34 (-2 to 1 C) range since Sunday. Yes, that’s 3 straight days within a 5 f range. And barely any snowfall either, yesterday at least got 0.6”.
At least it’s dry and a mix of sun and clouds, for a stable stretch this weather is pretty nice but man is it boring af.

Pacific Northwest snowpack; mountains all covered but not that deep temperatures for some mountain stations. all are very similar except the much higher Camp Muir. Except for Camp Muir, only been cold enough for snow to accumulate in the last couple weeks sensor seems to break during snowstorms. but Mt. Baker the snowiest is only at 50 inches from www.nwac.us/data-portal/graph/4/you can edit to add stations to get the same graph as me

It's so damn close to get proper snowfall now, yet somehow it evades Nyköping every single day and the half a centimetre that fell on Monday evening was toast already on Tuesday morning as Atlantic winds came in overnight. So frustrating...

Frigid day! -9.0/-14.2'C in Umeå. Only -1.9/-6.6 on Holmön
Buresjön at 65.5°N had a high/low of -25.3/-29.9'C!!!! That's insanely cold; not even sure if Umeå has ever had a high below -25'C. -29.9'C is the coldest of the season too.
Edit: Nvm, one manual station, Sorsele, got -30.0

Frigid day! -9.0/-14.2'C in Umeå. Only -1.9/-6.6 on Holmön Buresjön at 65.5°N had a high/low of -25.3/-29.9'C!!!! That's insanely cold; not even sure if Umeå has ever had a high below -25'C. -29.9'C is the coldest of the season too. I noticed Lycksele looked rather brutal today. That must be very cold for December, even as far as historical extremes go.
I'd urge you to look at 1980's stats, especially January and February 1985 and I'm sure you'll find some really cold days in Umeå though. Also, the 1950's and 1960's if available could provide some proper material.
