Massachusetts has snow on the ground that's been cooled to single digits a moist air mass with 40-50°F dews; thick surface snowpack temperature map, extremely cold snowpack via www.nohrsc.noaa.gov/nsa/index.html?region=northeastif I'm reading it correctly, the snow is warmer in Vermont than Massachusetts. More snow longer pre-arctic blast? Yeah, I'd assume since the snowpack further north has been around longer, it's gone through more mild periods? Further south areas only got a snow cover from this latest cold blast, therefore colder.

Saw where there were some reports of wintry precip in the Houston area today and across east Texas.
Pretty much just cold rain in central Louisiana though I heard that one airport in the area recorded sleet. I couldn't tell for sure if any ice pellets were falling mixed with heavy rain while I was driving.
It was 63F in the early morning hours, but since 10:30 AM it's been in the 30's. Strong wind gusts as the front came through; the airport recorded a gust of 51 mph.
I ended up with 1.81" of rain. 7.24" for the month so far and 15.32" since Dec 1.

Never posted Monday's daytime max. Much of New England & upstate NY barely made it past the single digits; coldest day in decades by 24 hour max for a lot of New England but by noon to 8 pm last year had a day almost as cold as it had it warmer early morning and a fast drop over the day; think 2016 had a similar day. This cold day started very cold and stayed cold here's that very cold day last year; western upstate NY and northern New England was colder that time, central New England and eastern NY including NYC much colder this time notice western PA cooled down fast at 10 pm while downstate NY and New England barely changed, too windy

73°F (23 °C) at 6am with a squall line approaching That squall line hit here with great potency, lots of lightning, heavy rain, and wind got a really close lightning strike to me around 3 PM whilst running errands. Put most summer thunderstorms to shame in all honesty.

More intracloud I believe.

Got some lightning/thunder out of it also, felt weird that it was storming with temps in the upper 50s lol. Tomorrow night might be interesting, temps in the low 50s and heavy rain, don't see that too often here.

I’m back in Kentucky now and woke up to a dusting of snow this morning. It’s been an interesting week of weather.
