Bardufoss 2018 Bardufoss is inland in Troms (69°N), far northern Norway, altitude 76 m ASL.
Large temp range in 2018, with a smashing new all-time high - not just for Bardufoss (recording since 1940) but for all of Troms province (about size of Belgium): 33.5°C / 92.3°F. Old province record 31.7°C. Warmest day had a 24-hr mean of 24.6°C, coldest day a mean of -25.4°C.
Five days above 30°C and also new record high for Aug with 32.2°C. Jan-Mar was cold, colder than average. Extremes gives a 63.8°C temperature range in 2018. Snow depth (slated grey in graph below) persistent for ca 5 months. 64 cm snow on the ground on April 1th (detailed statistics page), last day with snow on ground Apr 28th. Max snow depth 68 cm on Mar 29.
Snow cover on the ground from Nov 25th this year, which is very late there due to a near record warm Nov. Temp in red is above 0°C/freezing, blue is below 0°C. Feb mean was -16°C, July mean was 16.7°C.
The blue coloumns are precipitation amount. Feb had only 3 mm, June 140.9 mm.

I know it get a lot of snow, but wow, Tahoe had a crazy March. First 4 days had 4, 14, 16, and 2 inches of snow. Then starting on the 15th it had 5, 20, and 22 inches in 3 days.

Interesting idea for a map. I wonder where the data came from, and why they picked the stations they did. There are a bunch of stations out in the ocean and one in inland Nunavut. But nothing in the southwest USA or a large part of Africa.

can you do Anchorage and Anaktuvuk Pass? I made one for anchorage but it didn’t save so I’ll make another later today. I couldn’t find any data for Anaktuvuk pass though. Cool...thanks! Yeah I had a feeling Anaktuvuk would be iffy. Damn.
