Today reached a high of 65 (18 C) following the first frost of the season with a low of 35 (2 C). It was sunny the whole day and a pretty much ideal mid-October day.

Today was the 4th straight dry, sunny and warm day.
The high reached 69 (21 C) with dews in the high 30s (low-mid 0s C). The low this morning was a comparatively cool 42 (6 C) although that's still above average for the date.

Winter pattern emerging in Northern Scandinavia. From a low of -15C at RensjΓΆn to -8.3C at Bardufoss to 1.9C at TromsΓΈ (20 m).
Noticeably warmer now here in Mid-Norway than further north, as we had a low of 7.7C (airport), while Vigra (Γ
lesund Airport) had a low of 11.5C. Even Folldal, that unliveable valley (700 m) had a low of 1.1C.

Forecast high of 85F (29C) today with a 50% chance of t-storms. Never got below 69F (21C) last night. Frontal system coming tomorrow which could bring heavy t-storms. This should help to alleviate the dry conditions that have developed over the past few weeks. I have only had 0.03" of rainfall since Sept 1.

Storm complex came thru this morning, though it was kind of disappointing. Digital rain gauge shows I got 0.14" of rain. There were strong wind gusts at times. Looks like the airport recorded a gust of 47 mph. Hardly any lightning. Some segments of the storm complex look stronger than what I got.

Tons of rain in the past 24 hours here, about 32mm. Add that to the 27.8mm of rain over the two days prior to that, and we are now in the making of yet another wet month. The longest rain free period since the start of September is two days - 1st/2nd September. It's the longest unsettled period I've seen in a long long time, and there is a risk of being caught in rain almost any time you dare to go outside. Getting kinda boring really. Just one after another big low pressure system spinning constantly over the UK. Not sure why it's always us and not places further north where you'd think would get it more often.
