Tornado hit the north end of Alexandria with what looks like a good bit of damage unfortunately.
I’m fine. I couldn’t make out a tornado where I’m at.

Yeah, I saw Alexandria, LA and got concerned for a bit. Tornado(es) seemed pretty intense.

36°F and overcast with the potential for wintry precipitation later on. Inland areas will see the worst of it, per usual. NYC, Long Island, and Hudson County NJ is the only section of the region not under a Winter Weather Advisory. It’s been nearly 9 years since the last Ice Storm Warning issued by the Upton/Mt. Holly NWS offices (NYC/Philly regions), we’ll see what they do today for the inland areas, but I don’t enough freezing rain is in the forecast to use a warning. Personally, I’ve only experienced a single ice storm in my life, and that was in the DC area.

Very boring month so far. Lots of 30s/20s and boring, light snow most days.
There’s already been 11 precipitation days this month and 8 snow days for only 14” of snow.
The only interesting event this month was the brief overnight warm spell on the 9th-10th when it got up to 51 (11 c). Otherwise boring as can be.

Speagles84 Unlikely is correct for me. No snow cover, no snow in the forecast. Dry, cloudy 30s and 40s are the theme of this month.

There's a pretty bad storm going on here, 40000 households are without power. At least it's super warm, got up to 8°C.

yesterday in NYC was gross mid 30s rain; northern suburbs were worse with freezing rain, saw photos of iced trees from a friend. think further north (like western MA) got snow

Lots of snow today, had a pretty big squall around noon. Couldn’t see anything but a mass of white outside the windows and the NWS even issued an emergency snow squall warning.
Gotten colder throughout the day, was sunny and windy in the morning, then turned cold and snowy. Only 18 f now.

I read a local news piece that Australia recorded its hottest day ever on Tuesday with an average temperature of 40,9°C. Beercules and knot, any truth to that?

Snow squall totaled 2.2" this afternoon. Nice addition to the remaining snow from earlier in the week. High today was 25F, low was 21F, although we should drop into the mid teens by midnight
