London's avg annual low is 0.6C warmer than Motueka's. This is about as "suprising" as Wellington having an average low 1C warmer than Renmark -warmer nights are one of the trade offs of being the cloudier climate. Plus Motueka gets more of a land based influence, while London is more sea influenced. To be fair, the Renmark Airport station is a notorious frost hollow, being on a flat barren pancake. The former town site, where people actually live, is warmer as it is influenced by the river, vegetation, wetlands, built up area, and possibly the surrounding farming activity. It has an annual low of 11.0C (1981-2010), 0.3C warmer than Wellington Airport and 1.4C warmer than Kelburn (and 1.3C warmer than Renmark Airport).

Shame that Motueka has nil chance of exciting weather, itβs warmer and sunnier but possibly more boring

Pretty much the same heat as London. A 0.8C difference in record high isn't much really. Motueka has a record high of 37.1c?

Motueka has a record high of 37.1c? 36.4C - I thought you said London's high was Β 37.2C, or was that just Heathrow? Either way, Β 1.5C isn't that much of a difference - if here had a record low of -7.7C instead of -6.2C, I doubt that would change how anyone viewed the climate Heathrow's record high is 37.9c, London's is 38.1c. London has about 7-8x the number of 30c days per year, compared to Motueka.

I'm going with Motueka but not by much, and only because it's wetter.
Even Motueka I find it too dry as I get the impression that while the rain comes down heavy it doesn't last that long which I find annoying. I prefer rain to be longer and more consistent all seasons. Temperatures are decent in both places all year round, although Motueka might be a tad warm in the winter, at least according to Thunderstorms post.

Motueka easily. Actually gets weather, unlike London's perma drizzle/dry cloud. And FAR better summers i.e., sunnier and would feel warmer than London's low-UV hyper cloudy muck.

did shmoe hack your account Fact: Motueka is much closer to your dream climate than London. Either you're trolling, or you're just a typically delusional heat foamer who only looks at summer (even though Motueka has more reliable, stable warmth and for a much longer duration).

Motueka is miles better every single month of the year, especially if that Riwaka weather box is accurate. London is just way too cloudy for it to be a nice climate. People in this country crave sunshine. It doesn't need to be hot, just sunny. Motueka has more of that. Motueka will also feel much warmer with all that extra sunshine.

Also this is the real Motueka: AJ1013 Pls edit your OP with this^ That's actually worse. Does little for the temperatures, and adds a bucketload of cold rain.

That's actually worse. Does little for the temperatures, and adds a bucketload of cold rain. Depends what is meant by cold rain - rain here is typically a warmer event, so doesn't generally come with much sense of coldness imo. More rain than Nelson, but feels little diference to me. Sunshine hours are likley incorrect. The majority of the rainfall is falling in the cooler months. The older climate box, which used Nelson data, had about 380mm less rainfall and the distribution was relatively uniform throughout the year. 380mm more rain is a completely different climate, and a worse one IMO.
