It's late June and I'm already sick of heat and humidity and want summer to be over. Usually I don't get sick of summer until mid-July. And it's not like this summer has been particularly hot or anything. But I think since there's less stuff going on, and I was outside more than usual this spring when the weather was nice, I care more.

Just had a nice thunderstorm come through with lots of lightning and frequent, booming thunder. Best storm of the year so far. It brought 0.26โ (6 mm) of rain so far.
That brings the monthly total up to 1.47โ on 6 daysโitโll still end up a dry month but much less impressive than it was a week ago.

Yesterday had a high of 20.6C and low of 14.2C, very unusual to have such a low diurnal range at those temperatures over here.
In other news, we're officially at 99mm of precipitation as of yesterday which makes it our wettest month since June 2014, and with a very high likelihood of rain Monday and/or Tuesday it seems extremely likely that we'll surpass 100mm for the month, which would be our first month with over 100mm of precipitation since June 2013.

Crazy rainfall in western Kentucky this morning
Had some storms this afternoon. The forecast continues to get warmer and more stable. After a brief cooldown Wednesday from a lake breeze, every day has highs between 84 and 89, with lows 68-71. (29-32 and 20-22C). Above average and very stable, not what I want to see.
Chicago looks tropical.
Fargo is hot, hotter than the other two cities I posted.

The hot spot in Canada yesterday was the unlikely spot of Peawanuck, located at 55N in extreme northern Ontario near the Hudson Bay. Steady SSW winds helped it reach 34.8C/95F, while Fort Severn to the northwest had NNE winds and only reached 15C. Hourly data:
