Still shockingly cold so far this July, the average high is more than 3C below average and a lot of places will struggle to get to 100 sun hours.
I have no idea where this kind of cold has even come from, it's like we've gone straight into a really bland September.

This "winter" is looking very grim out here. On track for the warmest average maximum on record for July @ Hunters Hill (currently running 8.6° C, and the record max is 8.7° C), as well as the driest July on record with only 53.8 mm (!). The western snowpack is also one of the thinnest I've ever seen; usually on this side of the range in July, the snow line should lay around 1,300 m AMSL; this July, there's barely any snow even at 1,600+ m! Hopefully August turns this dire situation around. No more Easterly nonsense—we need a proper South'Wester ASAP. Haven't had a proper westerly polar blast since April FFS! Keep in mind the Decile 9 max temp is 10.8° C…exceeded it already: ^If this abomination comes off, it will shatter the record high average max by a significant margin. However, places farther east (like Cooma) are actually below average in temps this July. Complete opposite to here.

With a high of 85 (29 c), today was the fucking FIFTH STRAIGHT day to undershoot the forecast, 4 of which were by >3 f!
The next few days will be about average but there’s promising signs of another heat wave coming next week.

Some impressively high dew points in the region. Curiously, it neither feels hot nor muggy to me. Strange how the highest dews are in more mountainous areas in Washington. Kinda makes sense for the Fraser Valley in BC though (Chilliwack/Rosedale).

NYC’s forecast looks a million times better than Seoul’s atm. Seoul’s is cloidu and humid and stable, while NYC has some 35c temps. It’s not what you want

July looks like it'll struggle to get to 160 sun hours this month. That would make it the 4th cloudiest July since 1990, with only 1992, 2007 and 2009 duller.
That would also give an excellent opportunity to record the cloudiest summer on record. August would need to record 106 hours to avoid that title, though unless August can achieve 158 hours, summer 2020 will end up joining the top 10 list of cloudiest summers.

Today was cool and cloudy with a high of only 80 (26 c). I know that’s only 1 f below average but it’s the 2nd coolest high this month and with clouds and wind it felt pretty cool.

We have some heat in the forecast! 31C high tomorrow and 32C the day after. I thought for sure we were in for a July that wasn't gonna hit 30C but it looks like I was wrong. Lows are also quite high on those days, at 18C and 17C respectively so it sounds like it's probably gonna be somewhat humid. Back to slightly below normal temperatures again right after that.

Well, three weeks into the month and we still have roughly a 3C difference between the average and record low, and a 5C difference between the average and record high. Very stable.

Finally some proper heat today! It was 34/22°C at my PWS, with the first half of July being ultrastable with only a 2 degree difference between the average high and record high and the average low and record low until the 14th, when an Arctic airmass brought cool temperatures as mentioned earlier.
