Had some nice tropical downpours this afternoon related to Hurricane Hanna. I got 0.91" in my gauge. Interestingly didn't see any lightning with it. High precip chances remain the next few days and not forecast to reach 90F again until Thursday.

15.1C high yesterday, 14.8C high today. Around 30 mm of rain. Coldest July highs since 1995. ... And on average this is the hottest time of the year. Good, the penguins will be happy.
With your average highs I assumed you got 15 degree highs more often.

^Current AAO Index is β2.6, so if it can at least remain like this when the 02β04 Aug front arrivesβ¦jackpot! However, strong hints of a potent ridge-out as well (assuming +AAO)βhopefully this doesn't happen: All depends on whether or not the AAO remains negative. Fingers crossed it doesn't go positive.

Today was yet another forecast bust with a high of only 88 (31 c).
This was the 13th 30c day this month and the 24th this year. At the beginning of the month it looked like we could have a near record number but the heat has fizzled out the past 2 weeks.
Tomorrow supposedly has a forecast high of 91 but I doubt it gets past the upper 80s. Inevitably theyβll be early storms, clouds or itβll just not get that hot.

Storms popped up to the west here and then fizzled out before reaching me. This was the radar at 5pm showing a solid wall of red moving towards Milwaukee. Some rain fell, but the storms fell apart before getting here. More radar shots in spoiler. 2pm: Radar is clear. 3pm: Pop up storms 4pm: The line gets stronger and still hasn't moved much. 5pm: The storms move east and make a solid red band across the state. 6pm: Getting close, but starting to break up. 7pm: Lots of less intense storms and rain behind. I heard a few thunder claps and got some rain, but nothing like it could have been. 8pm: The remnants of the storm passed through, some rain behind. 9pm: More of the same. 10pm: A large patch of yellow appears over Lake Michigan. But this also fizzled out before reaching land.

After our very mild July we're finally getting some consistent warmth in the forecast - every day this week has highs between 27C and 32C with lows between 15C and 17C, all of this with uninterrupted sunshine.

Well fuck you Shitchester! Forecast high was 92 but it was overcast early, only getting up to 88 (31 c). Then, a fucking tiny βstormβ came by along the lake which brought 0 thunder, 0 lightning, 0 rain and dropped the temp 4 f. It warmed back up but then inexplicably dropped to the low 80s for the rest of the day. To add insult to injury, itβs warmer now at 8:30 PM than much of the afternoon. This is getting very old, very fast, last 4-5 hit days have all been teases that missed the forecast by 3-5 f Would rather it just be mild and pleasant with nothing to get disappointed by than this. At least the dew got up to 74 (23 c), the warmest of the year.

The Weather Network's 14-day-trend is showing consistently above average temperatures for the next two weeks over here! Environment Canada's one week forecast agrees with them. Proper summer has finally arrived!
