OCF has a 9C high here on Friday wtf
Legendary day yesterday. Sunny, high was 23.4C. And I was high.
Today meanwhile is a massive fail, forecast was 20C and mostly sunny. Reality, mostly cloudy and a mere 16C thus far. And I have work tomorrow. How things change in a day, how one day can be awesome, yet merely hours later, things are fucking gay.

Tropical Storm Warnings all the way up the eastern US coast, from Florida all the way to Connecticut! NYC even has a tropical storm warning. Philly/Baltimore/DC in the watch zone.
Rain will even reach 400 miles inland to me, with winds up to 35mph gusts! Impressive storm.

Classic shot of a "cold" front stopping once it hits the Appalachian mountains. This is heat index, not highs. My high temperature yesterday was only 74F.

INTERESTING STATS THAT AREN'T RECORDS (okay I checked and some are) BUT THEY HAPPENED TODAY AND THEY'RE COOL Albany Airport: 10.3/6.7, 62.0mm (since 9am and it's still raining) and 25.0mm before 9am overnight. Jacup: 9.2/4.3, 18.6mm since 9am and 4.6mm before. Their previous coldest August max was 10.0C so that was easily beaten! As I said in the records thread, this was also a 1993-now station and broke it's record. Newdegate: 10.2/1.7, 1.2mm since 9am. Broke previous coldest of 10.8C for August. Start the animation to see the glorious rotation of that low pressure system www.bom.gov.au/australia/satellite/

Under a Tropical Storm Warning again, the last one was a couple of weeks ago. Iβm expecting TS Isaias to be more impactful than TS Fay was. The east coast is also lucky this thing has been taking a beating, this couldβve easily morphed into something quite disastrous.
But I have a feeling this wonβt be the last tropical cyclone to reach us, itβs still quite early in the season.

High was 82 (28 c) before an evening rainstorm brought 0.59β (15 mm).
It was a nice downpour but only 1-2 quiet rumbles of thunder.

Localized heavy rain last night caused from flash flooding. Thunderstorms appeared in the southern half of Milwaukee dropping 1-2" of rain an hour and stayed in the same spot for a few hours. Rain amounts from www.wrh.noaa.gov/map/I saved a few pictures of radar to show, but the NWS made a summary that is much better. Radar loop:
0.76 inches/19.3mm in 10 minutes - 4.56" or 116mm per hour 2.56 inches/65.0mm in 30 minutes - 5.12" or 130mm per hour
The pictures are too blurry and dark to see much. See link to weather.gov if you really want to zoom in on them.
Some more reports and rainfall estimates in spoiler. A few ridiculous rainfall reports from the public. 6.78 inches is 172mm 4.73 inches is 120mm 2.54 inches is 64.5mm 6.55 inches is 166mm MMSD = Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewer District, a place that should be more accurate than a normal trained spotter.

Yeah, I don't have much experience with this so it was hard to identify the type of precipitation properly. Maybe it was sleet, it was definitely mostly ice but it was quite soft.
