Current weather in eastern Canada: 27C in Toronto 32C in Montreal 32C in Quebec City 34C in Fredericton 30C in Halifax 29C in Charlottetown and... 6C in St. John's. Fucking LOL! They really get the short end of the stick over there. Wow, that is...depressing. I guess that is the reality of being farther east than parts of Greenland and being exposed to those cold waters on an exposed peninsula of an exposed island. It's also foggy there. No thanks! Yeah, the climate there is pretty awful and depressing, some of the coolest and wettest summers among major cities in the country. It's also one of the windiest part of Canada, with an average yearly wind speed of 22km/h (versus 15km/h in Saskatoon and 12km/h in Vancouver).

Apparently Verkhoyansk reached 38.0C (100.4F) yesterday. If true, that breaks the all time record and is also the hottest temp recorded above the Arctic Circle (tied with Ft. Yukon). www.pogodaiklimat.ru/monitor.php?id=24266

Today was the 3rd straight day with an 86 f (30 c) high.
Sunny again and pleasant with dews in the low 60s.
Today was also the 9th straight day with no precipitation. This makes the June 4th-20th period the 5th driest ever. The next bunch of days have storms unfortunately which will ruin the developing drought. Storms are hit or miss though so maybe itβll stay dry.
Also on a depressing note, today is the summer solstice. At least peak summer is still a few weeks away but itβs always sad to see the days get shorter.

First night of astronomical summer and we have a forecast low of 4C with a risk of frost... yikes! On the plus side the weather will be warming up to seasonal levels in a couple of days, so that's nice.

On the plus side the weather will be warming up to seasonal levels in a couple of days, so that's nice. Been a wet and occasionally humid summer so far, albeit we have had a decent amount of sunshine overall; just not the past few days.

Weird temp pattern todayβtopped at 86 f a little after 1 PM, cooled down to 82 f in the mid afternoon, spiked up to a high of 88 f at 6 PM. Through yesterday the month is averaging +2.1 f on the highs but -0.6 f on the lows, much higher diurnals than usual. With no rain today, the month is now over 1.7β below normal with no meaningful rain since the 3rd. Grass is nice and golden and crunchy just as it should be in summer.

Cooler last week with most days under 35 C and we even had one night dip slightly below 25 C. Had a lot of rain fall early this morning - this month will be well above average for rainfall.

High was 89 (32 c) at 1 PM before a thunderstorm came through. It dropped 0.24β (6 mm) at the airport, the first rain since the 11th.
Today was the 8th day this month, and the 5th straight, to hit 30 c. However, weβre still stuck on 1 90 f this month.

T-storms across the area yesterday and today. Heaviest amounts of rain to my north and west with some spots getting 3+ inches. Saw a close range cloud-to-ground strike yesterday while driving.
Could get even heavier rain through tomorrow and maybe Thursday.
