It's starting to get noticeably darker at night. This was only half past 10pm, and the sun had already set Misty waters

I just got back from Rickettโs Glen state park in PA. It was unfortunately crowded but otherwise a nice place, Iโm glad I went. The 1st of 18 falls: A nice pool with 3 falls: The tallest fall in the park: The drive there and back was quite pretty with lots of hills and valleys and rivers and a surprising amount of views but no pics unfortunately since I was driving.

Yesterday as I was biking home at 2am, I noticed there was a lot of fog right outside the densely built up areas. It's hard to see in this picture, but there's a wall of fog right at the edge of this densely built up area near the city center. Any place sheltered by lots of surrounding buildings would be free of fog. Don't know if it's because the fog was generated by grass and trees, or because the fog is elininated upon contact with walls and so the houses would generate "fog shadows", or if the temperature was balancing on the dew point and the slightly higher temperatures near buildings were enough to dip the temperature above the dew point. So as soon as I left that built up part of the area, there was a lot of fog

Coldest day of the year so far, maximums of 14.8C at Jandakot and 15.0C at Perth Metro...even Bickley in the hills only reached 11.0C ! Wintry photos from late this morning and early this afternoon. Cottesloe Beach, unfortunately couldn't take time to shoot this pic as the rain was beginning to bucket down. The leading edge of a heavy cell arriving at the beach. From East Fremantle Yacht Club looking eastwards: From Bicton Baths looking north over the Swan River: A sunny break at Point Walter: Cold but mostly sunny:

Drove out to the spit in Squamish today when the weather was actually nice. 24ยฐC, sunny, and very windy! Ate lunch in this marsh grass. Just perfect really: APparently Beercyulles and I look really similar: The trees in here were reminiscent of skinny subarctic trees in Yellowknife, probably due to the persistent wind: Fucking windy Cool little stream; one of many inside this estuary. Lots of geese shit though: Never noticed this pointy fucker before: Interesting looking juvenile tree: Not sure what kind of tree this is. Maybe alder? Nice trail to hike out to the wetlands: Windsurfers. Only got two in this shot but there were 20-30 of them in the water. Sea-to-sky gondola on the left, Shannon Falls on the right: On the highway, looking back at where I was in the above pics:

Went out for some socially distant fishing with my friend yesterday. None of us got any fishes though even though there was a lot of jumping going around. Nights are starting to get really dark now. Sad.

Sad. Hopefully you didn't spread coronavirus to him/her (that is if you really do have coronavirus)...

Went out to Iona beach for the first time in at least two years. It's always windy there, so it's best to go on the hottest days of the year. It was only 22C though. Vancouver is now suddenly, a semi-arid subpolar maritime climate, fuckannnnnnn! Tide was very far out today. I have walked out very far in the past. There are some disgusting green, almost translucent, centipedes out there, that I would not want to step on. I didn't get any pictures of it unforunately, but a huuuuuuuuge bald eagle was circling and got really low (i.e. close) to us. That was one of the few times I've actually felt like prey for something else. Very unnerving. Luckily, there were a lot of large pieces of wood I could use to smack the fucker if it swooped down for an attack. Jesus, that eagle was huge.

Photos from today and at sunset. Had a band of med-high cloud over perth today which passed (you can see the sharp southern edge of the cloudband) just before sunset giving us some lovely colours. I've darkened this photo, enhances the warm colours.

Last Tue. I took some photos from the beach of Lungomare di Sabaudia in the evening; I was the sole swimmer for the entire time I was there.
