Twin centuries to Carey and Maxwell of all people. Didn't expect that, Carey looked pretty dodgy the last two games. Anyway, what a match! Coming back from 5/73 is incredible

The way England threw that away was almost Australian in nature.

Australia should win more often, we've finally got some decent Aussie activity in this thread.

The first day of the first test has just finished. God I miss test cricket! India 6/229 from 89 overs, so it's fairly even. They batted very slowly, so either the pitch is super slow or we bowled well and they defended well. Kohli got run out comically which was definitely the highlight of the night.

15/211 fell today, so lots of wickets. Australia all out for 191, and India when combined have gotten 5/20. Pitch doesn't look threatening on appearance, but the bounce is looking uneven sometimes and the bowling has been excellent from both sides.

Don't think I need to say much about today. I think the more surprising thing about today was Burns getting a 50 lol

Don't think I'll forget this scorecard for a long time. Looks like it's straight out of the 1930s or the under 16s Third XI of Avondale Heights lol

If I'm not mistaken, the first time in test cricket no batsman has made double figures?
Indian fans did say they were going to make history.

There was a SA vs ENG match in 1924 where no batsman in SA's first innings passed 7, but there were 11 extras.

Pretty good comeback from India in the 2nd test, we got pretty much outclassed in every department. The location of the 3rd test is still up in the air, a decision is yet to be made on either Melbourne or Sydney.

The Aussie cricket team seem to be sliding back to their old ways, according to the news and Indians on the internet.
Also, Sri Lanka have become depressingly poor, barely even competitive in this test match. The new Bangladesh?

Idk why they're so invested in what Australia is doing. The only person at fault was Paine who was borderline abusive at times from behind the stumps, but he has since apologised. Don't know what has happened to Sri Lanka either, it's pretty sad. Bit like the West Indies, they had their golden era and are now turning to shit. Last time we played them we had 2 innings victories lol.

It wasn't just those two, I haven't heard from either (but if you had to Google either of those names, then it doesn't say much for your credentials on cricket). The Indian team are the main source, they've made many complaints. Vaughan is seen as a bit of a dick here tbh, even by the England team, he loves stirring things up. Paine was accused of being abusive (he had a nightmare by all accounts, cost Australia the game), Smith was accused of roughing up the pitch, and a fan racially abused an Indian player. Allegedly, idk. It's a shame if true, because Paine was the guy who really restored Australia's reputation on the international scene. Maybe Sri Lanka are another side to sell themselves out to money, ODI and T20.
