Tim Paine was decent from 2010-2013, kind of the backup keeper for Haddin for a while. He plays pretty well in the big bash too but I don't think he's much of a good test keeper/batsman. Shaun Marsh again...I mean, c'mon mate cricket australia have given him way too many chances. All they had to do was replace Wade with Bancroft, Bancroft kept in the last two shield tests. They should have left Renshaw, the lad is young, talented and sturdy behind the wicket. What Shaun Marsh has done to deserve a spot, who knows. He must be either extremely rich or really good at sucking dick because there is no other explanation for that selection.

Yeah I agree with keeping renshaw instead, maybe Marsh is showing potential??? Again??? For the 15,000th time??? Maybe.....
...
I'm interested to see if Paine will be decent, he used to be kind of...more than serviceable; he can bat pretty well in domestic cricket and his keeping is good, a strange choice but it may work out. Also...where the fuck is Siddle (our lord and saviour).

Is it a coincidence that everytime I watch England, Cook is bowled out cheaply?
I barely even know these current two batsmen, but both seem to be doing a decent job so far.

I'm predicting that England will battle through to about 350 all out.

Fun fact, last night (well the night of the 22nd) me and my mates went to a bar/club and saw Matt Renshaw and Joe Burns, went over and said gday in my tipsy state. They seemed fine, pretty cool to see them just around out at night.

Australia need some wickets soon, or England will be in charge.

Nah, Marsh and Smith have stabilised the batting order, maybe we can get to 250.

It's looking really well balanced so far, should be a decent contest in the next couple of days.
I think England will be happy to still be in it at this point, the Gabba's never been a happy hunting ground for us.

Great Test match so far, shame at some point I'll have to go to bed and miss most of the day's play. I still think we'll lose but I've just read that 236 is the most that's ever been chased in the last innings at the Gabba!
