Thankfully over, what a bizarre match. Both teams were bizarrely obsessed with short pitched bullshit for long periods of the game which made for very not entertaining cricket.
Good stuff from Stokes but thankfully this time he didn't succeed. 2-0 up!

Would be 1-1 if Carey didn't stoop that low/cheat.
Hopefully the gloves come off fully now for the remaining tests. It's war.

I wasn't aware of any cheating, I'm sure you will get over it tomorrow

I wasn't aware of any cheating, I'm sure you will get over it tomorrow If we get 20 wickets in the next test by mankading, I'm sure the Australians will accept it.

Meh, hardly the key moment for me given that England really shouldn't have been involved in a battle at that point. Them giving the Australian fielders catching practice in the first innings is what cost them.

Idiotic batting in the 2nd innings at Edgbaston and the first innings here has stopped England being 2-0 up. Stop the friendly chat with their players and have more bloodlust for the remaining tests.

I think drop Brook for the next test and bring in Foakes, he is the best wicket keeper in the world and can bat as well. That he isn't playing is criminal!

Might aswell test out younger players for the series in Australia, because this one's as good as over.

Concerned curators say the drainage at Headingley may not be able to cope with the torrential downpour of English tears which have fallen since Johnny Bairstow was dismissed during the second test last week, requesting a Super Sopper from Australia to try and deal with the issue. As large puddles continued to form on the ground – including on the wicket area – curator Ian Tillingham said it was touch and go whether they would be ready for Thursday’s start. “We’ve had thirty inches of tears since Sunday, and the deluge doesn’t seem to be letting up,” he said. “If this sook from English supporters and players is still going tomorrow, we may be looking at a wash out”. He said the downpour appeared to be getting worse. “We put the covers on straight away when this first started on Sunday, and we expected the tantrum might last for an hour or two. But four days later there are no signs that English people are pulling themselves together”.

Great bowling from Mark Wood today with 5-34. Another shambolic day of fielding though, dropping Marsh on 12 and then letting him get a century when we should have had them out for under 150. Test is finely poised yet again though.

It's a shame he and Archer are injured so often. They'd make England much more competitive on Aussie wickets.
