Had no idea coastal southern California has the same climate as the southern tip of Texas.

Found an "improved" version of the map.
Still a few issues but it's slightly better. These maps are basically impossible to get 100% accurate anyway, since climates vary significantly around the world. I tried to make a climate comparison map for Australia a while back but gave up on it, since it was a pain to find similar enough climates to satisfy me and my map making skills are atrocious.

New Jersey is nothing like Seoul. Gets a lot more snow in winter, and has a much drier summer. It's more like Sendai.

Miami's average temps if it never rained (top) and if it rained everyday (bottom). The days with rain are much warmer in winter and cooler in summer, but slightly warmer overall.

Umea, Tampere and Funchal are the three EU cities with the best air quality. Nowy Sacz, Poland, Cremona, Italy and Slavonski Brod, Croatia are the worst.

I know humidex is BS, but Parikkala on the eastern border recorded a 40C+ humidex today, something I haven't seen in Finland (not that I look after it either). Temp was 33C with 48% humidity, a 20C DP.
On the opposite side of the spectrum; remember Castlederp? It recorded a 2.9C low two nights ago, and owenc's hill was probably colder.

That's a 96 F (35.6 C) heat index according to the NWS Heat Index Calculator. Still, impressive heat and humidity for Finland.

That's pretty impressive. I remember Ronneby managed a 40'C+ hunidex in 2018, I think it was 32-33'C with a 22-23'C DP or something ridiculous like that. Nothing like that this year. Ronneby managed 30'C with 20'C DP's a couple days ago (two days in a row), and during the june record day some vantage pro 2's in the NorrkΓΆping/LinkΓΆping area managed 33-34'C with 17-18'C dew points. What's the highest dew point recorded in Finland so far this June?

Dunno, I don't have a way to easily find out. 22C something I guess.

Yeah, you're right. Damn, took a look at Ogimet and of the top 10 warmest lows last night almost all of them have reached dew points in the 21's, and Kotka Haapasaari managed to record a 22.0'C dew point at an hourly observation.

With two days to go, the Tampere UHI station sits at a 20.0C mean (hi+lo/2), and Lappeenranta Lepola is at 19.9C. The all-time record to beat is 19.8C set last year by the Tampere UHI station. Turku's record is 18.9C, also from last year. So far Turku's mean is 18.8C.

If the Canadian style heatwave would hit Turku, this is what the weatherbox would look like, and shows how rediculous it is:

It's better to compare how much they broke the previous record, or the deviation from average monthly maximum rather than the deviation from the average high
