Buxton above average months since 2010:
January: 6/9 February: 5/9 March: 4/8 April: 5/8 May: 4/8 June: 4/8 July: 5/8 August: 4/8 September: 3/8 October: 4/8 November: 3/8 December: 4/8
51/98, or 52%
Seems as it should be. No "warming" evident here really.

^^ Weren't you biking to work a couple years ago? My mom complained that it'll be cool when she arrives in Miami Saturday. She doesn't want "normie" weather lol. I was, yes. I moved homes about 18 months ago, and only ride occasionally now as my new route to work is along busy roads, which I don't like tbh. My old house was on a cycle route along the river which went within about 1/2 a mile of my work, so I avoided any roads. I can get to the cycle route now, but it's an extra 8 miles a day. I'll wait until the weather is nice for it!

So NYC and Rochester have warmed the most out of all the places? Huh. Was not expecting that

>+0.01 F = above average <-0.01 F = below average Then it's a different story here as well. I use -0.5C to +0.5C as 'average' like the FMI does. but not annually, right? Only monthly?

Jan: 7/9 and 6/9 Feb: 6/9 and 5/9 March: 6/8 and 6/8 April: 5/8 and 5/8 May: 4/8 and 3/8 June: 3/8 and 3/8 July: 6/8 and 4/8 August: 6/8 and 5/8 September: 8/8 and 7/8 October: 6/8 and 3/8 November: 7/8 and 7/8 - no month has been within 1.3'C of the average since 2010. December: 6/8 and 6/8
These are for 0.1 vs 0.5 thresholds compared to the 1961-1990 "normal".
Above average 0.1: 70/98 = 71% (was 76% until 2017 which had 5 months failing to be above average in a row) Above average 0.5: 60/92 = 61% (was 65% until 2017 which had 6 months fail to be above average)
Great that we know what's "normal".

For here: January: 44% (4 of 9) February: 67% (6 of 9) March: 75% (6 of 8) April: 100% (8 of 8) May: 50% (4 of 8) June: 50% (4 of 8) July: 75% (6 of 8) August: 88% (7 of 8) September: 50% (4 of 8) October: 63% (5 of 8) November: 63% (5 of 8) December: 88% (7 of 8) Total: 66/98 or 67.3% of months. As you can see, December, August and April have all been shithouses in recent years. Last below average April was 2005! Correction: It's actually 70/98, not 66. I must have missed either May, June or September. Jajajajajajaja Vensoolan guy doesn't know how to count and haves no toilet paper jajajajaja bro

Sensational BOM fail
Adelaide's overnight low was forecast 25C , but got down to as low as 18C at the Kent Town station (which was the official station until recently). The new West Terrace station recorded 22C. And LMAO, 13.4C at world's most epic frost hollow, vs 19C at my place.

Cloudiest start to March on record with 7.3 hours to the 9th. Cloudier than even the very dull January so far.

Time series decomposition for air temperature in Marburg 2007-2015. Would be more interesting for a much longer period...

This March is turning out to be a complete fuck up so far, super dull, cloudiest month since records began actually and also the coldest start to March since records began; vile rubbish, a god damn waste of time and talk of another easterly blast of wank on the way. Poop. Hope we get compensated BIG TIME in April - September.

Aside from February, Northeast US has been stuck in a below average pattern since November. Three below average months in a row, and an absolute garbage fire March with no rescue anywhere in sight
