In Binghamton 2003 was the last top 10 cold year. Maybe the huge population loss makes it easier to have historic cold? Idk

I highly doubt it'd ever get to 27/19, maybe in the 2081-2110 averages. Current average is 25/16. We will probably be compensated by colder than average December sometime in the next 20 year period. Wikipedia/NOAA say current averages are 25.5/17.2 for 1981-2010 at Miami International. Which weather station are you looking at? Fort Lauderdale. I don't live in Miami, plus I'm much farther inland than Fort Lauderdale so probably cooler by here still.

^So Buxton has been cloudy but certainly less cold. Highs have been so frequently last 6 weeks, often slightly further north than on this map for tomorrow. 96 sunhrs in Tromรธ first 15 days of March, 67 here. Highs like that gives us easterlies or completely calm air. www.yr.no/verkart/

We normally have about 50 hours of sun until mid-March. Getting only about 20-25% of that so far must be a record. With the renewed easterly coming this weekend and more "ice days" this will easily go down as the worst March I've experienced in 30 years.

Come over here lad...it's been extremely pleasant here this spring. I'm sitting outside in the sun drinking beer at 6:30pm...although there is a breeze and it's about 12C but better than how it usually is here.

Yeah March is worse, cause at least in January cold is expected, and also you're more prepared for it. By March it feels like you already suffered through so much, and then Mother Nature just keeps piling it on and on

I wouldn't say March is a full spring month. The first 10-15 days are still winter IMO.
Spring and fall (March 21/September 21) are the only times the astronomical seasons are accurate IMO. To say winter or summer start on June 21 or December 21 is stupid.

The first half of March is usually pretty wintery. March isnโt a universal spring month as some places have lots of seasonal lag. Also, I donโt think spring starts at the same time every year. In 2012 or 2016, it started pretty much at the beginning of March but in 2015 or 2028, it wasnโt until late March.
While a bit late, I think astronomical seasons fit better than meteorological seasons for here, especially recently.

Meteorological spring isn't March 1st? Meteorological spribg means it's based off of Meteorology meaning it's connected to the actual weather and not the calendar. In Sweden, meteorological spring is 7 days in a row with a 24h mean above 0'C. That's a meteorological definition. Deciding seasons off the calendar is not meteorological.

Been bloody snowing with 30-40mph winds for more than 12 hours now. Going to be some big snow drifts again. With the cold temps forecast there will probably be snow hanging on into April at this rate like in 2013. AWFUL SPRING.
