Saying we don't affect the climate is like saying 1+1 isn't 2. We emitt massive amount of greenhouse gases in quantities enough to affect the global concentration, and we know larger concentrations of greenhouse gases make for warmer weather. So putting the two together, we know humans affect the climate. I can kinda see why some people would think our part is smaller than "nature's" part, but saying we have no part is just folly. Urban heat island effect and thats it babz

If this forecast holds true, then it is the fabled "Autumnal 180" of the upper CT, lads!

The early May bank holiday record is gonna be beaten on Monday, probably by 4/5C. Although the record for it only goes back to 1979 or something.

GFS showing insanity for next Friday. 168hrs away so will downgrade to fluff by the time we get there. According to what my local forecasts are saying, it looks like snowstorms for me next Friday. Not a chance in Hell for the common thunderstorm up this way, but perhaps "thundersnow" may be possible.

Holmön had quite a lot of sunshine between the 15th of March and 19th of April. Assuming a sun means 100% sunshine and anything else 0% sunshine, they would've had over 70% sunshine during those 36 days

This is by far the prettiest time of year here IMO. Lots of small trees have leafed out, big trees have small leaves, Forsythia and Magnolia and Dogwood and other flowering trees are in full bloom, there’s lots of flowers like tulips, daffodils, etc.
Mid April to early June is the only time of year I like when it’s green and lush. The trees are at a great stage where they have small leaves, but you can still see through them and all the flowers and flowering trees and still bare trees mean it’s not the monotonous green blob of summer.
The week has been warm and sunny as well which has been epic after the cold March and April.

It really does look beautiful right now. I really really don't like early spring here (March and April) but now is not the time to think about that. Better to forget about it, and enjoy the blooms now that they're here

^^^ And yet, Umea fails to attain the heat standards required of AGW. Mate, start eating meat and drinking, and start farting accordingly, be a bro and give Global Warming a hand. I was a member of a joke facebook group "Ithacans for Global Warming"; Giorbanguly could relate

–3.6° C right now at the Marrangaroo Defence station in Lithgow, NSW; officially –4° C. Coldest in the nation, according to weatherzone current extremes. CT for the win!

GFS still looks completely insane for the end of the week. Even here it looks like getting real windy. If I didn't have to waste my money on so much bills and shit I would be booking a cabin somewhere along the Vic coast, and throw in a plane spotting session in Melbourne

This snow accumulation map I've found on the Aussie Ski forums shows up to 5 inches (12.7 cm) of snowfall for the upper Central Tablelands next weekend; notably the Black Springs, Blayney, Crookwell, Hobbys Yards, Oberon, Porters Retreat, Trunkey Creek, and Yetholme regions. The dark blue area marked round 34.5° S is the Crookwell-Pejar region of the Upper Lachlan Shire—only ~900 m AMSL:

Jævla Kristus, am I seriously nearing an ice-day in early May? Saturday's 3 PM (maximum-afternoon) temp displays 1° C with snow, which could probably downgrade even farther. Now this will be some fucken madshit
