2:30 PM PDT update shows a max of 116.8°F so far in Lytton [note the value for "max_air_temp_pst1hr"]. Temps are going up fairly quickly: Ashcroft falling off the pace. Tmax of 45.1c so far today. Tmax of 44.7c at Kamloops so far as well.

Victoria: 23.5c Shock to the system for those in Victoria, wow, Victoria-AU'ish. Not really, because it's quite variable depending on local topography and sea breezes. The UVic site for example is currently on 30.7°C.

Impressive. Just goes to show how extreme and messed-up this heat wave is. Never thought I'd see it hit 120 F or warmer in Canada in my lifetime.

Ashcroft hit its maximum at 7:00PM of 47.9C, Lytton was already down to 44.7C at this time. Ashcroft seems to hold the heat longer, must be topography. At 7:44PM: Lytton 41.6C Ashcroft 47.0C There's rumors out there of Lytton breaking 50°C? Can anybody confirm? Maybe they just rounded the 49.6C up to 50C, or readings on peoples vehicles in the area.
