Looks like the US hotspots (not including the southwest) were Kennewick, WA and The Dalles, OR.
Both hit 115 (46.1 c).

Kinda surprising that temps in Portland leveled off after 3 PM. Temps rose fairly quickly, then held steady with easterlies (downslope flow). Plenty of stations west of the Cascades had dew points in the 60s with air temps in the 90s/100s F (as of 6 PM PDT): Record event reports for the Portland and Seattle forecast offices: 000 SXUS76 KPQR 280227 RERPQR
RECORD EVENT REPORT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PORTLAND OREGON 720 PM PDT Sun Jun 27 2021
...ALL TIME HOTTEST TEMPERATURES ON RECORD SUNDAY JUNE 27TH 2021...
A record smashing heatwave has overtaken the Pacific Northwest this weekend. Several sites squeaked past their all time highest temperature on record on Saturday with many others breaking their warmest June day on record. However, all of these sites heated up even more on Sunday June 27th 2021 and either tied or broke their all time warmest temperature on record for any month of the year. This includes a number of sites such as downtown Portland, Salem and Eugene where data goes back to the late 1800s. Given these were the warmest temperatures observed at any point during the year since records began, they are by default the new records for June and more specifically June 27th. There is a chance that some of these sites will make a second or third run at their all time record high temperature on Monday and surpass these Sunday numbers.
* Given the Portland Airport, Troutdale and Vancouver set their all time hottest temperature on record on Saturday, their record warm temperature prior to Saturday June 26th is also included in the statistics below...

Definitely not every day you see 47 on a Canadian forecast (unless it's got a minus sign in front of it). 46.6 there so far today (easily breaking the previous national record of 45.0) I have to keep reminding myself that this is BC, not some outback Pilbara hellhole !

^^^ And you wonder why you get ridiculed, Babu. Heat index or whatever has nothing to do with how hot you feel while going for a run or some shit. It is meant to be a formula to derive the sensation of ambient shade temp. Come on, if you run long enough or do enough star jumps it could feel like 40C in your proportionally proportionate body when it is 20C outside. Would that make sense as a meteorological observation? No Humidex is malarky end of story. If some latte sipping asian yoga student in Vancouver thinks its 47C because she done 5 mins of jogging in place then more power to her. Off topic, but just wondering if you think wind chill is BS too. The BOM's version is. Not uncommon to see "feels like" temps of something like 24C if actual temp is 35C with a very low dewpoint and strong winds.

^The """dubious""" 39.4Β° C in 1941? Only because it goes against the gorebull warming agenda. Neeext! How tf do you know the reason for the dubiousness? The all-time Canadian record was from earlier than that and no one called it dubious. There were probably reasons for why they called it dubious, so just shut your mouth instead of spewing bile of ignorance.

Absolutely mind boggling. I believe the 41.3Β°C at Port Alberni might be the all-time record for Vancouver Island. Nope. Gold River recorded a temp of 41.5c on July 28th, 2009. It's another town situated in a valley inland on Vancouver Island and further north than Port Alberni.

^The """dubious""" 39.4Β° C in 1941? Only because it goes against the gorebull warming agenda. Neeext! Some records are dubious because surrounding station data does not support the said temperature. And that is certainly a reason to flag as 'dubious' and investigate further. The State of Victoria, Australia experienced a record breaking heatwave in Jan 1939, with the former State all time record being recorded then ( since broken with a 48.8c in Feb 2009. ) at Mildura, 47.2c. This figure was publicised as the State record for 70 years. However another Mallee town, Boort recorded a 48.3 on the same day. Boort's temps have not been digitised to the BOM's national data base, which also means they haven't gone through the stringent verification checks. So even if the most extreme values are known, well if you dont have the full set of daily data, and preferably sub-daily ( eg 9.00am and 3.00pm ), its hard to assess whether there are any issues with the observation. The Boort 48.3c is known to be recorded in a Stevenson Screen, whereas some earlier extremes prior to 1910 at Mildura, Swan Hill, Horsham and Wycheproof ( all between 48c and 50.7c ) were not in Stevenson Screens and are discounted from the record books. The Boort reading looks legit, even so it is about 1c to 1.5c higher than readings from nearby towns on the same day and is thought 'dubious'. ( remembering of course that Aussie extreme heat away from the coast tends to be pretty spatially consistent. ) Having said this, the new NSW State record is 50c, now officially recognised after 82 years. The previous of 49.7c at Menindee was recorded on the same day as The Wilcannia 50c, just it had not gone through the digitisation and verification process. Much of the Aussie network data is only digitised back to 1957, so obviously there may be some extremes ( both heat and cold ) out there waiting to be 'found'. At least 3 Snowy Mountains sites ( Charlotte Pass, Kiandra, Hotel Kosciusko ) have substantial chunks of undigitised data sitting in the National Archives.

Apparently Larch Mountain near Portland had an overnight low of 94Β°F. Likely real with sounding analyses showing 850 hPa temps over northern Oregon ~85Β°F (combined with downsloping easterly winds): Unprecedented upper air temps over coastal Washington

Sign of the times at EC - so many stations have been closed down in recent decades. Wish we had more coverage of the lower mainland like before. Also wish that YVR wasn't the official Vancouver station because it runs so low in the summer, especially during heatwaves. Was probably 38c in east Van yesterday but YVR only hit 31c.
