One cloudy weather picture. After the night storm, the trees are quite bare. There were many large white birds in the field, judging by the curved necks, maybe swans. Maybe. Although swans are usually even larger and do not congregate in large groups.

Had a nice walk this morning. Hard freeze, temps were in the 25-31 F (-3.9 C to -0.6 C) range for the walk. Went down to the Mississippi River, it steams up on cold mornings: Went a little bit further down the street, thought this driveway was pretty awesome: Nice, quiet street: Lots of frost, probably hard to see in this pic: Beautiful, vibrant color on this tree: Frosty mailbox: More vibrant colors: Really loved the orange color on this birch tree: Really liked this house, I have a thing for red houses:

posting photos from a walk this Tuesday. wasn't going to bother with town streets cause they feel ordinary compared to biking/hiking scenery but alex992 gave me the idea the nice old house part of town then into the park next to the neighborhood bike ride in the evening, canal sunset

I expected a lot of bare trees from the storm on Thursday, but obviously most trees were still too early in the turning process then. A lot are still completely green. There have been a couple lows in the 30s since then, should help the process a bit. As usual, chestnut trees turn before most others. Lots of non-blighted ones there, looks nice: Barer look I was expecting the one to the right to be completely bare with the 100 km/h+ gusts: Love this pic, looks so cozy.

I was in Regina (the provincial capital) for work for a couple days this week. I was too busy to go around getting many pictures but I did manage to get this great view of the cityscape. It was just above freezing with an absolutely fierce wind that morning, so a bit chilly for my liking. Been to Regina many times but never got around to going up this hill before (or do much exploration of the massive inner-city park nearby), but I definitely would like to at some point, preferably when the weather is a little more comfortable.

Damn those Tucson photos look legit mediterranean apart from the saguaros. Must feel nice to have this much rain in a dry climate. Was foggy this morning: Black locust update. The small maple to the left is beginning to turn. Birches still have a ways to go.

Extreme rainfall here from the coastal storm! Had multiple periods of heavy rain yesterday (October 26). All done now but storm total of 5.01" reported at Albertson and 4.14" at Searingtown, closest stations on the list here to me, just 1-2 miles to my south. Almost 7" of rain in parts of Eastern LI! nwschat.weather.gov/p.php?pid=202110271605-KOKX-NOUS41-PNSOKX
Decent amount of leaves came down in the wind gusts as well, 40+ mph. Fall colors just starting to pop, but won't peak for another 1-2 weeks.

Here is the debris from last night. This object flew over the fence and trees there and landed here lol. Not even joking. Winds reached 119km/h at their highest, and there were sustained gusts of 90km/h or higher for a few hours.
