Rather chilly today, with a high of 61.5°F (16.4°C) at my PWS today in spite of sunny skies. Looking to warm back up for most of next week, with a forecast high tomorrow of 79°F (26°C) here followed by forecast highs in the 80-83°F range for Tuesday-Thursday as high pressure to the south shifts eastwards. A cold morning today, with lows in the 30s in SC & Georgia last night... What's that weather buoy that's way out there in the ocean?

What's that weather buoy that's way out there in the ocean? Bermuda? Bermuda is way farther out. Maybe it's not a buoy?

Morningrise jetshnl Maybe having read your posts is why I had a dream about getting hit by a massive snowstorm last night. We were supposed to get three feet (90 cm) of snow and I was wondering if the house was going to be okay.

Low this morning was 14 (-10 c) which will be the coldest temp until October or November. Nowhere near the daily record but still well below the normal April mean minimum.
The high was a non-noteworthy 43 (6 c) but cold enough to be shitty, especially combined with the wind. Too far south for the snowstorm so had a completely dry day. April has had just 0.10” (3 mm) so far, and no precipitation is in the forecast—looking to be a very dry month.

Past few days have been pretty chilly in the Vancouver region. Some hail, snow, thunderstorms and a couple early morning frosts too.

WA towns (deservedly!) record the wettest April on record: Extremely heavy rain of 100 mm or more was recorded on Tuesday into Wednesday at several locations in Western Australia's South East Coast forecast district. Some of the heaviest falls included: *Coomalbidgup - 122 mm *Munglinup - 117 mm *Ravensthorpe - 111.2 mm This week's fall of 111.2 mm was Ravensthorpe's wettest April day on record, and just missed out on the all-time daily rainfall record (any month) by less than 2 mm. Ravensthorpe only receives 429 mm per year on average, so it just received more than a quarter of its annual rainfall in a day. The April average is 32.4 mm. www.weatherzone.com.au/news/wettest-april-day-on-record-for-southern-wa-town/537069

Should be an exciting spring day here today NWS going for a high of 77F with the sun and SW flow in place, and an approaching cold front should ignite some severe thunderstorms. I’m under a slight risk for severe weather.

14/04
High 11.7c, low 1.9c, the day was cloudy but no precipitation. This month's daily mean has so far been about 1.8c colder than usual. There has not been a warm spell yet, but at least this week the highs have been 11-12c i.e at least above ten and it has mostly been sunny, except today.

High was 58 (14 c) today but didn’t feel anywhere close to that do to the incessant wind. And nothing of interest either, max gusts have been ~40 mph the past few days but it’s just nonstop wind.
First half of April gets an F by Fort Collins standards—exceedingly boring and largely unpleasant.
-Half the days have been fucking windy and cold -there’s been no variability, 12/14 days have had highs between 50-71 f -zero snow -zero storms -only 0.10” of rain—all overnight drizzle

Paris city has the wettest soils in France compared to normal and Ile-de-France is the only weather than normal region due to being at the intersection of recent localized rainfall bands. Lucky me!

Summer made a brief visit yesterday with a high of 84 F/29 C but this morning it dropped down to 37 F/3 C. Looking pleasant today with sun and a high of 67 F/19 C.
