Widespread 15C+ temps in Finland today as well. The forecast overshot especially in Turku where a 14C high was expected, but due to Full HD sunshine the high seems to have been 16.8C! Max temps:
Kokemรคki, some 100 km north of Turku seems to have been the warmest in Finland with a 17.0C high.

Got colder than predicted last night, predicted low was 21 F (-6.1 C) and it ended up dropping to 17 F (-8.3 C) here and 20 F (-6.7 C) at the airport. As of nearly noon it's 39 F (3.9 C) here and mostly cloudy.
Predicted high today is 44 F (6.7 C) with clouds moving in in the afternoon.
Big warm up on the way. Rest of the working week should remain cool with highs mostly in the 40s and low 50s with rain tomorrow on Wednesday and Friday, but Saturday has a high of 71 F (21.7 C) forecast with thunderstorms, that should be an interesting day.

Got to 79 (26 c) today, the warmest temp of the month but still cooler than Marchโs highest temp. Mostly cloudy with dews in the teens so super pleasant. Looks like a cold front this weekend will bring rain and maybe even snow.

edit: scratch that. Seinรคjoki recorded 18.2C and thus was ahead of Haapavesi.

It got up to 93ยฐF (34ยฐC) today in Oklahoma City, setting a daily maximum temperature record. The last two times it got this hot in April were 2011 and 2006. Both of those years had very hot summers. Given we're also in a drought, this doesn't bode well for the future.

Another warm day today, reaching 73 (23 c). Spring is starting to show as Bradford pears are flowering now as well as forsythia. Most trees at least have buds, some have tiny leaves.
Big difference outside the neighborhoods and built up areas which have planted trees, in the Fort Collins natural areas you couldnโt tell it wasnโt January and itโs almost completely bare.

Back in Coldchurch for a few weeks. I've been pleasantly surprised with the weather as most days have been sunny and warmer than usual. But the wind is the key thing here - many otherwise nice days have been ruined by persistent strong wind. No significant rain and no frost as of yet, but we've come close a couple of times. Some nice autumn colours coming through in parts.

The highs were very similar to yesterday: high was 16.6c again and the national high was 17.7c again and in Virtsu. Fortunately, the lows were higher than yesterday. So it's a cool spring as even the warmest days have not been very warm. And I'm not saying this because I want to "prove that my climate is in Europe and "thus it is usually warm and subtropical"". Here it is written in clear Russian language that the daily mean in my area is -1.2c below the norm, ss of April 21. (And why I'm posting information in Russian - just because it is available).

80 (27 c) today, which matches the highest temp of the year almost a month ago. Should be beat tomorrow though, NWS is saying 84 (29 c) which would be the highest April temp since 2012.

Some few stations in Sweden have actually managed meteorological summer. One of the earliest on record I'm pretty sure, even if it's a bit of an arbitrary record.

21 April is most likely the warmest day of this month with a high of 19.0C in Riga. Next days should be colder.
Shocking fact: this is the first April in 30 years when it has failed to reach 20C in Latvia. Last such April was in 1992.

Seriously? If you think that I am trying to create some Slavic drama, it is not true. Latvian weather journalist Toms Bricis has mentioned this: www.lsm.lv/raksts/laika-zinas/laika-zinas/video-blogs-pirmo-reizi-30-gados-aprilis-bez-20-gradu-siltuma.a453485/

And why would I think that? Weird response.
It was an observation. It was meant to be funny.

Last April that failed to hit 20 C here was in 1996. Over a 130 year period, we've had 13 Aprils that didn't reach 20 C, so seems to about a once every 10 year event on average. This April was on track to be no. 14 until Saturday's random warm up (high of 74 F / 23.3 C predicted) was put into the forecast.
Today is cool and cloudy however. 40 F (4.4 C) and cloudy here just past 9 AM, headed up to 51 F (10.6 C) with rain and possibly thunderstorms this afternoon.
Tomorrow is forecast to be the warmest day in more than six months (last time we hit 74 F / 23.3 C was on October 18) with thunderstorms, possibly some with severe quality, and then a massive cool down forecast the next days after with Sunday only at 44 F (6.7 C) and Monday at 34 F (1.1 C)!

Around every 3rd April fails to hit 20C in Finland, so actually quite impressive that Latvia has failed to do so only twice in 30 years.
