Our max temp today ( so far ) is 31.2c, which is the coolest day since the 17th of March when it was also 31.2c. I dare say the humidity and DP's were substantially higher in March.... lol. Prior to that, we have to go back to the end of Feb ( 26th ) for a cooler max temp than todays effort. DP's below 6c in Darwin atm ! Plenty of storm activity to our north.

Bloody Hell ! A fair dinkum chill right across the Territory this morning. ( except Cape Wessel min 25.4c and Gove min 22.8c ) So the Darwin Airport min of 17.3c is the coldest temperature recorded since 31/7/20 when the mercury plummeted to 16.6c. The next day ( 1st Aug ) also dropped to 17.3c. I'm genuinely cold sitting at my computer desk and have turnrd the fan down a coupla notches. My indoors temp is bang on 20c ....bbbbbrrrrrr ! Not often we see dews this low. Been a long time since the temp has been this low indoors ! My neighbors this morning....as I've said countless times - Darwin people don't do 'cold' very well...lol !

Trawling through some old photos from 2006 and found these pics of my Darwin born and bred wuss of a son ....you know, the sort that get sooky when the temp drops below 18c.....lol And being a bit of an OCD stats nerd, I just had to look up the min temps on the day I took the pics, 9/5/06.... Wasn't even that cold ya bloody big sook !

Our 6th sub 20c min ( 19.5c ) of the month. Since 2000, we average about 14 sub 20c mins in June. 2011, every morning of June was below 20c, conversely there were only 2 mornings below 20c in 2013.
