We had lake effect snow on Tuesday I think. Enough to actually lightly coat a couple of roads on my way to work.

Weβve had 2 overnight snow events that have brought a total of 2.6β (6 cm) of snow.
Both have been at night so while Iβve seen the snow on the ground in the morning Iβve yet to see it falling.

I'm insanely envious! Boring warm crap here still. I'm honestly envious of Florida right now! Going to be sliding around on ice with a howling cold wind in the next couple of days

It snowed overnight but with highs above freezing it's a pointless wet slush.

Heavy wet snow today and it's accumulating. Temps won't settle below freezing until next Tuesday though.

We had the very tiniest sprinkling of snow last night, just white spots covering the ground.

Big cool-down coming on 7th-8th with possible snow. Big hype about this on netweather but models don't really support a snowmageddon. Would be interesting to get some deep snow however.

Got a nice 5 cm layer last night but it's above freezing so it doesn't count.

It's snowing now, only a cm or two but still more than we've had so far this winter. Proper snowy spells before Christmas aren't the norm here but it's going to be below freezing most of the time for the next week, so anything we do get might have a good shot at sticking around for a bit

You can tell it's slightly above freezing here (0.1C at 11 pm in Bingley, so a degree warmer here seems reasonable) and unless the skies clear straight away once it stops snowing you know it's going to go slushy quickly afterwards.
Ugh, I'll have to add that to my list of things to look out for with pretty much every one of the marginal snow events we get:
1. Is it going to be rain, sleet or snow? 2. Is it going to stick if it does snow? 3. Is it going to melt straight away once it stops snowing?
You're never really certain about any of those three here.

I thought you might have had snow, no snow in Skipton but there's apparently 1 cm in Bingley, one of the cars on my street has a slight dusting on the roof as well. We got something very brief yesterday but it felt more like rain when it came down. Similar to that in Bingley that night you think?

Read my post above lol, the vast majority of snowfalls are at about 0-2C here so when a chance of snow is forecast we never really know what's going to happen.

Flurries for 2 straight days. No accumulation Not even a dusting The airport got 0.4β (1 cm) yesterday. Did my town get any of that? Nope. If it did, it was in the middle of the night and gone by morning. There should be around 9β (23 cm) of snow so far this season, instead theres 3β (8 cm), of which none has been since mid November And now the storm is supposed to miss to the damn south. We were supposed to get a foot (30 cm), but thatβs been reduced to an inch or two (2-5 cm) if that

Heavier snow here now with 3-5cm on all surfaces. We just need this on Christmas day lol but it will actually be 10Β°C probably.
