We still have about 2cm of lying snow now since 6 days, which is the longest time since I've lived here. Not so unusual in higher areas of the city, that said. Highest temperature of the week: 1.7C, with an average low of -3.9Β°C.

Received about 10cm today. Not the biggest single day fall I've seen here but I'll take it after the past few rainy months.

The February heat wave in Western and Central Europe did not reach Eastern Europe. The thickness of the snow layer in Moscow, Russia is still 45 cm. But a few days ago 57 cm.

Lucky. Green Bay has seen only 30.2", including the 2.5" they got last night (which I'd say I only got three quarters of an inch); I'd say at my place, without having added up the numbers off the top of my head, probably only 22-25". Big fail of a season.

What makes the Moscow snow thing worse is that the snow has been there permanently on the ground since November and there have been no snow-free periods since then. If we move east of Moscow, the situation will be even worse.

Maximum snow depths for the winter in Wisconsin. 32" is 81cm.
The highest snow depth was measured at Lac Vieux Desert, which is a lake on the northern border of Wisconsin. Not a desert. I colored the stations based on their location in the state.
Northern stations = green Southeast stations = yellow Southwest or south-central stations = purple The snowiest station on average is Hurley. The far southeast such as Milwaukee is usually the mildest part of the state in winter but they saw lake-effect snow which added up to deep snow cover in February. The least snowy station on average is Beloit. It saw 57" of snow this winter compared to their average of 32, so it managed to make the list.
Average snowfall map for the state: Hurley is the high spot and Beloit is the station on the southern border. Milwaukee is the "50" in the lower right. I don't think the airport is actually snowier than nearby places. I think they just record the snow more often and catch those events where the snow melts quickly or compacts before it was measured. Madison's main airport has the same issue, with 51.2" at the airport and 37.9" at another station nearby. This should be the final total. Snowfall October: 0.1" November: Trace December: 5.3" January 23.3" February: 17.5" March: 0.8" April: 0" Total: 47.0" (119.4cm) Days with snow falling/lying: October: 2/1 November: 3/0 December: 14/5 January: 19/13 February 15/8 March: 5/1 Total: 58/29 The days with snow falling are days where the NWS reports a trace. Snow lying means the total was 0.1" or more. Days with snow cover: October: 0 November: 0 December: 2 January: 31 February: 28 March: 8 Total: 69
