Melbourne Airport December 2017:(departures from 2000-2017 normals) Avg High: 25.6°C (+0.3°C) Avg Mean: 19.5°C (+0.7°C) Avg Low: 13.3°C (+1.1°C) Max High: 38.3°C (19th) Min High: 15.1°C (2nd) Max Low: 22.4°C (28th) Min Low: 9.0°C (8th, 31st) Rainfall: 118.8mm ( 231.1% of average rainfall) Precipitation days: 11 (+2) Sun hours: 252.9 hours (94.9% of avg. sun hours) Max wind gust: 93km/h from the NNW (19th) A very wet month due to a significant rain event at the start, then a few storms to follow that up. Ended up slightly above average temperature wise, and slightly below average sunshine wise. For the year of 2017:Annual average high: 21.1°C (+0.7°C) Annual average mean: 15.5°C (+0.3°C) Annual average low: 9.8°C (-0.1°C) Rainfall: 519.8mm (104.2% of rainfall) Max high: 38.3°C (17/1, 19/12) Min high: 8.3°C (3/8) Max low: 26.0°C (8/1) Min low: -0.6°C (2/7) Sunshine: 2520.5 hours (106.1% of avg sunshine) Looking at it, not the worst year. More sun and rain is always nice, though as you can see all the rain is concentrated into April and December. Dry winters suck but we broke the record for sunniest July by a fair bit, so at least that happened.

Starting with Observatory Hill, other places coming later. Very warm December, third hottest on record for mean temps I'm pretty sure.

Central Park finishes below average for both November and December. First back-to-back below average months since January-March 2015, been a while since that happened
Binghamton also finishes below average for Nov and December. First back-to-back below average months since...May-August 2017. Huh. Binghamton was below average for 7 out of 12 months this year, huge difference from NYC. Maybe the Atlantic is working its magic on the coast?

Nice year in Seoul, aside from that horrible July lol ^ Love that quick warmup you get there in March and April. Very little seasonal lag too

Do you prefer Seoul the most over Indiana?

Nah, Terre Haute is better. Im surprised its that warm, I was expecting something similar to a Great Lakes climate. Also it has a nicer precipitation pattern than Seoul. That said, I love Seoul's quick warmup in the spring, something we don't have here in the Northeast

That said, I love Seoul's quick warmup in the spring, something we don't have here in the Northeast Winter in Seoul considered abnormally cold for the latitude even in the Eastern US standard. Maybe it's more appropriate to see the climate as quickly dropping in late autumn, the spring season is a more natural response to abundant sunlight and its intensity.

August's average high should be 17.8°C, not 17.3°C.

Unfortunately, the airport station was having issues with the precip measurement sensor, so on 3 days I had to use precip data from a co-op station about 5 miles away from the airport. I also went ahead and adjusted August for another day it had issues. December was a bit cooler than normal and precip was less than half of normal. Normal for December is 60.7/39.9F (15.9/4.4C) and 6.24" (158.5 mm) of rain. Other December stats: Lowest max: 40F (4.4C) Highest min: 69F (20.6C) Days with freezing lows: 9 Days with max below 50F (10C): 8 Days with max above 70F (21.1C): 10 Highest dewpoint: 70F (21.1C) Lowest dewpoint: 6F (-14.4C) Average dewpoint: 42F (5.6C) Days with thunder: 3

No idea how you guys get monthly summaries on national holidays (I assume January 1st is off everywhere). I'll have to wait until tomorrow.
