So it didn't make it to 49 F (9 C) as forecast, only dropped to 53 F (12 C) last night which is a bit disappointing. Currently 69 F (21 C) with a 43 F (6 C) dew point and a fresh NW breeze, so it's at least nice today. Predicted low tonight is 47 F (8 C). low was 57F here so only a 4F difference

Impressive consistency in temps between yesterday (10.9/3.3ยฐC) and today (10.7/3.3ยฐC), despite a completely differnt weather: yesterday alternated between sun and showers whereas today was overcast with light rain in the evening.

72 F (22 C) with a 43 F (6 C) dew point right now, quite dry with a Red Flag Warning in effect until 7 PM. I think 72 F (22 C) will end up being the high.

We had 11.2/4.6 yesterday with sun and showers, and 11.0/4.1 today with sunny skies.

Only 3 inches in NYC. Certainly felt like a lot more was coming down. Im guessing a good amount melted, the ground is too damn warm now

storm total; a bust here, 2+ feet out in the Berkshires. North Adams got 30 inches! hills have 4-5 feet deep snow. We had a dry slot of air aloft, keeping the snowfall rates 0 or low. Only came down hard around 8-9 pm, with strong winds.

upper level low in the region. Discussion from Mt. Washington An upper level low will remain parked over the northeast for the start of the weekend steering a pair of surface lows around the region. The first low will move north across Maine Friday prior to weakening late in the day. Lingering low level moisture will bring continued summit fog, clouds overhead, and occasional upslope snow showers. Overnight, a secondary low will form offshore and be drawn up towards the Canadian Maritimes prior to retrograding Saturday. As the low approaches, bands of snow will rotate in bringing continued snowfall for the higher terrain. While winds will weaken with Fridays low, as the secondary low moves north and west on Saturday, a tightening pressure gradient will set up resulting in increased winds. The easterly flow from Wednesday and Thursday resulted in large snowdrifts on the western slopes of the mountains. Since then, winds have slackened and shifted to a westerly flow. As a result, when winds start to pick back up, all of the snow that has fallen and will fall will be whipped up and driven eastward. was snowing for half an hour, gloomy the whole day. Clouds supposed to break a bit tomorrow, but the Whites look mostly cloudy next week as they're more prone to cloudiness. Here's the upper level right now

The low this morning here was 49 F (9 C) and the high today ended up being 71 F (22 C), looking like a big warm up this weekend, up to 85 F (29 C) on Sunday before another cold front comes through and drops high temps into the upper 60s and low 70s.

Same here! Bugger both of us sideways... I'm extremely skeptical of that forecast though since SMHI absolutely are unable to even predict the precipitation even the next day. So I'm sort of optimistic that's not going to happen

Marchuary continues with 1-2 C highs, snow showers and overcast forecast until Friday. Then we have 2 pitiful days of 8-9 C and rain and then right back down again.
This is is the by far the shittiest โMarchโ I can remember:
โข2017 was bad, but had a few days of interesting cold, a few days in the 10s C and was relatively variable โข2015 was worse, but at least that had a bunch of days of 7-10 C. โข2014 was very cold at first and set the March record low and managed to have 4 days over 10 C so it was at least interesting with a few mild days โข2013 had several cool, boring periods of 2-3 C but also reached 18 C one day
None of them did isnโt even reach 6 C in the first 17 days, recorded a few days over 10 C and had some interesting cold rather than useless, unpleasant, boring cold.
The highs so far this month: 6, 1, 3, 1, 0, 4, 1, 3, 1
And in the forecast: 2, 3, 1, 0, 3, 3
The astronomical seasons are actually a better fit for the last 8-10 years. Spring starts in late March now and Fall doesnโt start until late September.

Low this morning occurred at 4-5 AM instead of the more normal 7 AM due to easterlies that started blowing in the early morning. Temperature jumped from 54 F (12 C) to 65 F (18 C) between 5 and 7 AM despite very little solar impact, purely due to winds. Has been rather overcast all day and rain has started about 30 mins ago, will become more widespread tonight. Currently 71 F (22 C) with a 60 F (16 C) dew point with light rain.

Another chilly March day with a max of 37 F/3 C. Clouds ended up winning the battle against the sun today. Loving the fresh air and still a decent amount of snow on the ground. No real sign of warmth in the forecast either. I love when wintry conditions linger well into March.
