Giorbanguly and Steelernation now you guys know how I feel every September when we're getting endless 90/77 days and there's nothing interesting going on in the tropics (last September being an exception of course). Or in October when it "cools off" to 88/75 and there's not a single cold front in sight...

June = August, May = September, etc.

Snowing here currently. Looks like at least 2 inches on the ground (about 5 cm). Last I heard, it supposed to change to rain later in the morning, and then change to all snow and just be all snow from the early afternoon to early evening. IDK. Disappointing storm in some ways. Always hate a snowstorm being fucked up by any amount of fucking rain. But maybe a good enough excuse anyway to take today off.

80/49 being predicted for today, that's a pretty impressive swing for us!
The forecast looks fun, lots of up and downs and pretty stormy for the time of year. I'm not bitching too much.

our snow forecast; large area getting 1+ foot of snow, but none of the biggest coastal cities except some of their outer inland suburbs are getting dumped with snow so won't get as much news coverage enlarged

snow paused; hope we can still make the 1+ foot totals. Snow stuck to the ground but just barely. This could help

It's above freezing here tho. I'm guessing the snow won't stick to pavement? Seems like it's gonna be slushy more than anything

As of 3pm it's 38ยบF with a wind chill of 29ยบF. The last time we had a high below 40F was almost a month ago on Feb 8, and tomorrow has a high of 36 forecast as well. It feels like February and March have been switched this year!

Temperature dropping like a snail tonight. I don't think we'll reach our forecast low. I don't think the air mass has fully moved in though.

Holy shit, sweet! How much more snow is predicted to fall? Storm is over unfortunately, but it snowed the entire day so I can't complain. Possibility of another storm early next week but too early to say. Temperatures are looking chilly too. It's awesome when March is cold and stormy. Although there were impressive snow totals for Friday's storm, it wasn't as widespread and was more notable for the wind. This storm had less wind, but much greater snow coverage.

nice illustration by NWS Boston of 4 levels of this storms. Can see the winds, moisture, temperatures and steepening lapse rates. can see the winds ramp up and the pressure drop on Mt. Washington (800 mb level as you can see by the lower right chart) as the storm approaches. Not impressive for Mt. Washington standards; the tight pressure gradient is too far off

Wow, the snowstorm was actually a bust for some parts of the Lehigh Valley. We got around six inches of snow, so definitely not a bust here. Maybe hiking in the Poconos won't be ideal this Saturday. Some parts of North Jersey got the most snow. I should find someplace good to hike

So it didn't make it to 49 F (9 C) as forecast, only dropped to 53 F (12 C) last night which is a bit disappointing. Currently 69 F (21 C) with a 43 F (6 C) dew point and a fresh NW breeze, so it's at least nice today. Predicted low tonight is 47 F (8 C).
