This seems to be getting way out of hand... WRT to the weather, models are again pointing to another round of cold air digging into to eastern Canada and US over the next ten days. ECMWF: US model is even more dramatic: Source: weather.us/model-charts/Are these the 2m temperatures? Don't get me wrong, it looks like absolute shit, but not any worse than the subarctic garbage we've been suffering through since the start of March

Well that was an interesting read! In other news it looks like summer (NOT SPRING) SUMMER will be arriving next week. I'm so happy hopefully it extends to the weekend after and we can get some thundery downpours? Would be nice to get a dramatic temperature change. *drools* Normally don't get excited about summer weather but I'll be nice to feel warmth on my skin and actually see the trees green up. Tilt that thing a fraction north-eastward and flood me with 20ยฐC days, PLEASE god if you exist

March was awful, but at least it had a bunch of sunny, dry days and had no rain until the last few days. Also, everywhere else in Europe and the northeast etc. were cold too.
Now April comes and we get still well below average temps, but also with shitty cold rain and no sun. Europe is now seeing tons of dry, sunny days and consistent mild to warm highs, the rest of the northeast is in the 70s this weekend and here we are stuck with 45-50 and rain.
The only good thing is Avon got downgraded to 63 tomorrow and rain was added, so the 70s will not be coming within 20 miles of us.
Relative for our climate, March was an E, April is an F-.
The closest Februaryโs highest temp was come to Aprilโs was 3 F in 1932 (70 vs. 73). This year itโll take a miracle for April to get to 71.
How about February, with the coldest average record high of any month, getting a higher temp than November, December, January, March, and April? Now that is just what I wanted...

April here is an F- so far, mostly due to having January sunshine levels and heavy precipitation, though temperatures have been normal for 1st-11th. However, if the above forecast models come off as anticipated (and there is a lot of uncertainty), it could get up to a C grade.
Highest temp here this April has been 55ยฐF/13ยฐC, about right for the first half of April. The expected high in the second half is around 63ยฐF/17ยฐC.
Continental Europe has certainly seen some nice weather, mostly Germany/Netherlands which I've seen getting into the mid-20's. Signs that it could be coming this way - not getting too excited yet though.

Highest so far here is 15 C, the average for the first 10 days is 6/-3, well below average.
The highest temp in the forecast is 16 C tomorrow, but nothing else is forecast above 11 C. Iโm guessing April will end up with a highest temp of 18-20 C, normal April get to 28 C.

March was incredibly cloudy too. Both get F- from me, you couldn't think of a worse possible scenario

Seems like we've reached the peak of the birch pollen season here.

Now GFS is showing ice days for a good chunk of Upstate NY! Syracuse and Ithaca, and some places away from the Great Lakes farther west are in danger

The warm front is now projected to die out in Central New York, so Rochester isn't the only one. Syracuse is gonna get screwed big time too. Might be a 30-40F difference between Shittycuse and Bunghole this weekend~wow. Never seen such a huge difference in forecasts between the two If the front moves any farther south Ithaca and Bunghole are losing our warmth next

What a difference 70 miles can make. Bunghole supposed to get 70F highs on Friday and Saturday, while Shittycuse will be stuck in 40-50F purgatory

Today had a high of 83 F (28 C) and a low of 69 F (21 C), it's amazing how refreshing 28 C feels after days of 32-34 C weather, lol

But NE US had an amazing February, didn't you? Then both had poor Marches. Now we're having an alright April while you aren't. Seems fair.

Rather pleasant day today, morning low of 65 F (18 C) heading up to 84 F (29 C) today. A rather seasonable April day.
Looking like there'll be lows in the 50s to start off next week!

Warm February is still mostly cold; a cold early spring delays the growing season. A mild February prevents interesting winter weather (snow). Not really much benefit in a cold April

Mid to upper 70s here the next couple days, going to feel great! Tomorrow night is forecast to have a 60F low which will make it the warmest day since mid-February lol. Might see thunderstorms over the weekend as well.

Forget just London, Buxton could see 21ยฐC next week. Well, OK I expect it to downgrade.
