But NE US had an amazing February, didn't you? Then both had poor Marches. Now we're having an alright April while you aren't. Seems fair. We did have an amazing February, but we dont deserve this shittastic April. Seattle deserves this shit not us. When is the last time Seattle had a cold spring? Fuck Seattle and fuck the entire West Coast. I hope they run out of water and end up like the fucking Sahara

It seems like the front will be farther south than before which means just the NYC area and far southern NY will be getting 70s. Thank god. So glad Albany, Syracuse, Ithaca, etc. lost there warmth and will have to suffer with us.

Imagine living in Brรธnnรธysund knowing just a few dozen kilometers south they're having summer temps while you're just a few degrees above freezing

British Sunshine Hall of Shame after 12 days of April 2018: Nottingham: 15.1 hours (and 11 hours of that was on one day!) Glasgow: 16.4 hours Edinburgh: 17.9 hours Leeming (North Yorkshire, the nearest sun recorder to me): 20.0 hours Charlwood (south of London): 20.7 hours Wattisham (near Ipswich): 21.1 hours The leaders so far, believe it or not, are some of the cloudiest places in the country: Lerwick (52.9 hours) and Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides (52.7 hours)! www.met.reading.ac.uk/~brugge/CURR.html

Seems like we've reached the peak of the birch pollen season here. Benefits of a cold spring with persons with allergies. Birch pollen forecast for Saturday:

Got to 57 (14 C) so far, of course a forecast busy on a day that had already got its forecast dropped several times. Supposed to warm up in the late evening, but that could just be getting back to 55-57.
At least the sun came out, which on one hand was quite nice while on the other making the forecast bust more infuriating. The rain was at least light so it didnโt bother me that much.
Descending back into shit for the next 10+ days, no 70s in sight until probably mid May.

Light snow overnight in Edmonton, heavier snow in Southern Alberta which has now cleared. A transient warm up coming this weekend. There's even a chance we could see 10ยฐC which would be the first such reading since October. However, early next week indications are for a major spring storm coming with 20-30cm of snow possible. Stay tuned... Source: kamala.cod.edu/Canada/latest.focn45.CWWG.htmlMeanwhile the downtown station has set a record for the longest consecutive number of days with temperatures dropping below freezing:

Yesterday actually ended up reaching 61 (16 C) so if we donโt get anything warmer we will only be tied for coldest April record high.
Todays actually been nice and sunny and the next week has lost the rain so at least thatโs good.

At noon it looked like clouds would be a huge cockblock and that we would struggle above 50F today. At 1pm the clouds disappeared and now it looks like we might have the first 70F day of the year (we had 69F in February). After today we might not have 70s or even 60s for weeks lol

That lake effect is ridiculous this time of year. 80 F in some spots in northern PA, and only upper 30s/lower 40s about 80-100 miles north on the shores of Lake Ontario.
