That lake effect is ridiculous this time of year. 80 F in some spots in northern PA, and only upper 30s/lower 40s about 80-100 miles north on the shores of Lake Ontario. Indeed its crazy. If I was in Rochester or Buffalo I think I wouldve been tearing my hair out lol Poor Steelernation lol

High of 81ยบF today, finally beating out February 20 for the warmest temperature of the year. Dew points were low in the mid 40s.

Upstate New York is too much tho Itโs so infuriating seeing 70s nearby while the shitty lake has us stuck in the 40s. Or last February when everyone was in the 70s and we were like 45. I gotta stay here for another 2 years but then I can gtfo and go to somewhere nicer. Youโre lucky that you only have a few more months.

I think there was an occluded front as well running east-west across upstate New York in addition to the lake effect?

Tornado watch in effect until 6 AM tomorrow morning. Reports of tornadoes this evening in north Louisiana, and some in Arkansas today.

-3F anomalies in April are pretty notable in Upstate NY, well so far Bunghole is at nearly -9F! Even the coldest April on record was -8.1F. 2nd coldest was -5.3F. Unless the pattern warms up, this month could be as anomalous as February 2015
Also just for reference, April 2016, one of the coldest in recent memory, was -3.0F...this month is fucking bonkers, and not in a good way

Complete shithole of a day at 82F Friday. Today's going to be another one. But on a positive note regarding this heat: 1. It's not February and the dew point wasn't 60F this time 2. It was a Friday, allowing me to sleep thru the day and be active only at night. 3. (Most importantly) we'll be below average again next week.

Pretty active day today weather-wise, winter storm warnings from Kansas all the way through Michigan, blizzard warning from southern Nebraska through southern Minnesota, some places could get more than 2'! Winter weather advisories in Upstate NY, Vermont, and western Mass, ice storm warnings in western Upstate NY, be careful out there! Looking quite windy in the central and southern Plains, with high wind warnings in western Kansas (there were blizzard warnings out there yesterday), Texas looking dry and windy with red flag warnings. Freeze warnings in western Missouri, and looking like some heavy rain and severe weather across Mississippi and Alabama. Lots to talk about today!

Whoa, 85 F in Central PA and a frigid 20 F in Saranac Lake. Insane difference in about 300 miles.

We were supposed to get an ice storm but it hasnโt happened yet, maybe itโs coming tonight.

Bunghole topped out at 57F today? Clouds out in all force, probably not gonna get any higher. We were sorta in the middle of the front, just to the north of us tons of places stuck in the 30s, while a bit to the south 70s and 80s
