75F / 24C on Long Island today, temps plummeting now, itโs currently 52F / 11C. Still sunny but super windy. All thanks to a backdoor cold front.
Tomorrowโs temperature will only be 41F / 5C, both the high and low. Wtf. It was 82F / 28C in NYC yesterday and warm today. I hate this f****** place.

Storms didn't seem that intense when they came thru my area early this morning. Then they re-intensified to my east. Storms were stronger to the north, with a couple tornadic. This pic was at the college that I went to in the north LA. West of Monroe, LA

Reality slapped everyone in the face today after two days of summer-like weather. Currently only 39 F/4 C with a windchill of 31 F/-1 C and overcast. Winter weather alerts in much of the Northeast and storm warnings in the Upper Midwest (Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan).

Was sunny and in the mid 70s yesterday. 30 degrees colder today. Wind was whistling last night as the cold came in Heavy rain forecast here for tomorrow but meteorologist thinks there is the possibility for mixed precipitation in the morning. Pretty impressive for mid-April if it comes to fruition.

Connecticut River valley (area where I lived in Massachusetts) is good at pooling cold air and radiational cooling. Was the one spot that was colder that hadn't warmed up Friday mid-morning, most of the Northeast was 50s and warmer while Amherst and nearby was stuck in the upper 30s. Thought it was the "takes time to clear cold air as the warm front pushes through" but it looks like it was just radiation cooling and an inversion that took time to break. Here's Worcester, higher up didn't have a cold morning. You can see it warmed up fast after sunrise on the 13th and didn't drop as much. Notice Worcester doesn't drop to the dew point like the Hadley location does every mornings. in the valley [near Hadley, MA] stayed cold with no warming for hours many mornings, stuck inversion? Maybe some fog? Worcester is now the colder one, around 30ยฐF. Higher elevation, warmer when it's not a radiational cooling morning but otherwise. And NYC Central Park, very low diurnal range

Detroit Tigers have already had five cancelled or postponed games. Wow. At this rate, Tigers just won't have any off-days in the second half of the season
I've never seen an April this cold and brutal before. Ffs, April 2007 and 2016 feel hot compared to this. Just depressing soulcrushing cold and clouds withotu end. Every single day. Tous les jours. Todos los dias. Kazhdiy dyen. Like a fucking clockwork. It's a nightmare, but one you can't wake up from

Then finally a change in the pattern for the second week of May? edmountain: Hoping that comes true! Three weeks is a long time to wait, but hopefully it's a light at the end of the tunnel Fwiw, Euro is predicting more seasonable temps starting this weekend, GFS is predicting more seasonable temps starting next Tuesday. Still looks below average, but more like -5F departures, instead of the -15F that we're getting this week

Quite warm and summer-like today, temp didn't drop below 79 F (26 C) last night and today peaked at 88 F (31 C) with a 72 F (22 C) dew point so far, heat index was 95 F (35 C) at the time. Lots of billowing clouds around, good chance of severe storms later. Hopefully we can get something good out of this. Low of 55 F (13 C) predicted for tomorrow night.
