I prefer March to be below average. Better a late onset of spring with everyhting blossoming at the same time. April I don't care if it's below or above average, as long as it's variable and (very) wet. Warmer than normal weather is wanted from May onwards.

Shoveled snow for the first time in 2 months today, what the entire f*ck. Just a few weeks ago I was wearing t-shirts without a jacket (in FEBRUARY), I haven’t done that yet this March. The two have switched places this year. Past two years* We haven't had a March be colder than February since 1984, and now it happens two years in a row-wtf Also on track for our 5th below average March in in 6 years Idk what’s going on, I used to look forward to March, especially after a cold winter, but lately it’s been more of the same wintry crap. I’m ready for April. This scene from “Get Out” perfectly describes winter in the Northeast, with Rose (his girlfriend) being March:

impressive snow depth from this week's Nor'easter
not much here; much of melted before sticking; roads don't really enough to plow. My car had about 1-2 inches of paste-link snow. On the rear it had already slid off. Late afternoon had a long dry spell. Local reports around 4" at 3 pm. Parts of central and southeastern Massachusetts might reach 2 feet of snow

Years March has been colder than February:
1872, 1877, 1890, 1932, 1937, 1954, 1984, 2017, 2018.
Pretty consistent pattern with 2 in a short period of time and then a long gap. Hopefully that means it won’t happen again until I’ve got the fuck out of here but given the way March was been trending I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens again next year.

March began normal-ish for me, just felt cold cause end of February was so mild It’s somehow 0.3 F above average so far due to the lows, but next week looks still cold and the highest temp in the first 22 days will likely be just 1 degree warmer than February’s average high. Something magical could happen in the last week, but it’s probably 95% likely.

62 F (17 C) with a 40 F (4 C) dew point here, and a light NW breeze. This is usually ripe conditions for a cool night, but we have high clouds at the moment which is fucking it up. Something is always fucking up the cool down here....

In Bunghole the average high so far is running about 6F below average, even if we had a normal February this would still be very notable

It got cooler than forecast last night - dropped to a solid 50 F (10 C) when the predicted low was 54 F (12 C). Beautiful day today, deep blue skies, dry, and cool. 61 F (16 C) with a 42 F (6 C) dew point as of 11 AM. Predicted high is 72 F (22 C) today.

Very low humidity today (dew point of 40 F) and there's a very noticeable haze from wildfires I would think. There's freeze warning all over Northern FL, AL, GA, and SC at the moment. And fire weather warnings from Jacksonville down through Melbourne as well.

34 F (1 C) highs this month: 7 All other highs this month: 7
4.6” (12 cm) of snow fell last night-this morning. Less than expected but still enough that the snow pack won’t go away anytime soon and too little to be interesting or give me a day off. All that = not good.

This is weird, some weather forecasts appear to be showing a yellow circle a few days from now. I googled this rare phenomenon, and apparently it's called "sun". And this phenomenon could arrive to Binghamton in a few days! Very excited, never knew such a thing existed before!

Got a good deal colder than forecast this morning, forecast was 49 F (9 C) and it made it down to 44 F (7 C)! Upper 40s in more urban, coastal stations. Nice morning, the sharpness of the chill surprised me a bit. Fairly large range too, 73 F (23 C) with a 44 F (7 C) dew point right now. Though winds are northeasterly now which is bad news.

44F? Isnt it less than the mean minimum for March over there?

44F? Isnt it less than the mean minimum for March over there? Indeed, mean extreme minimum for March is about 46 F (8 C) so a bit cooler. Coolest March temp since 2013.

March is currently running 6ºF colder than February here.
The next week will be milder than it has been, but still no real warmth in the forecast. Warmest day has a high of 59ºF.
