Not likely to win, but also not impossible. Been a very weird series Pretty much a copy of 2019 if England win here. 2-2 England level series at the Oval A win at Headingley to keep the series alive One rain draw that saved Australia Warner out to Broad I honestly think that if we had picked Ben Foakes as our keeper, it would be 4-0 at this stage.

Ariete would be a good spinner actually. So, the WWF XI: 1. B87 2. Ben (c) 3. Lommaren 4. Noodleman 5. FG 6. jgtheone (vc) 7. Beercules (wk) 8. Razza 9. Ariete 10. Irlinit 11. Hector Alex as the tough talking coach and 12th man is joe90. Is it time to update this squad? Lommaren obviously banned for life for using sandpaper, and a few others have retired.

Unlike 2019, there hasn't been a dominant batsman such as Smith. I'm not sure if there will be another performance like that for a while though. Your Headingley win was also far less dramatic this year, and both times we also won at the 'fortress' Edgbaston. And yeah, if we picked someone other than Warner after the first 3 or so matches we wouldn't constantly be trying to make up for bad starts. I still think it's been a very weird series, I haven't seen anything like it before. I have no doubt everyone will be exhausted after this, moreso than a conventional Ashes series.

Benny Boy at no 3. Labuschagne type plucky batsman who is always in the opponents ear at short leg. Not too sure about the other opening batsman

I think greys would sit in the slips and sledge, next to Beercules.

2019 was all about Smith, perhaps the best individual performance by a batsman since the days of Bradman. So good that he won over a hostile crowd. Booed early in the series because of the sandpaper incident, by the end he was getting standing ovations because of his brilliance.
I enjoyed some the battles between Archer and the Australian batsman. Gutted that he's had injury problems since, he'd be lethal on fast Australian decks.

We actually got a good opening partnership in England, so now anything is genuinely possible! Today is also Broad's last day of international cricket, he's been a great bowler who has always performed his best in the ashes so let's not make it a memorable day for him

Broad ends his career by hitting a 6 with the bat and taking a wicket with the ball. A hilarious batting collapse from Australia.
2-2 and glad there's no test at Old Trafford in 2027!

A well deserved win by England in the final Test of the series.

Bit annoying we couldn't fully shut the poms up but we gave it a crack and got close. That ball change though... new ball was like 7 overs old

Broad couldn't have asked for a better way to end his final test. The last ball he faced he hit for six and his last delivery was a wicket to win the game.

We will see the Ageas Bowl host its first Ashes test in 2027. Will be interesting to see how it plays. I imagine it'll be quite a bouncy wicket and easy to score on.

Dude those over rate points being docked is kinda bullshit. It did nothing to affect the quality of the cricket being played.

The World Cup has started, who do you think will win?
I think an India vs Pakistan final with India winning would be really spicy.

Yeah I am thinking the final will be India vs South Africa, UNLESS we face South Africa in the semis. If that happens then they are basically guaranteed to choke against us.
I'm pretty impressed with Afghanistan too. Netherlands have been alright as well.
England... yeah
