Thought I'd go on a stroll around Nemi yesterday afternoon. Lots of bare deciduous trees but with some leaves still clinging onto them.

Partly sunny and very mild, being the 4th day this month with highs in the 60s, and very warm lows as well with plenty of clouds at night and a south wind. High/low of 63/55 @ LGA and 61/51 @ Farmingdale. Highs typical of April and lows of May. Took advantage of the nice weather and went down to the water to get nice sunset pics. NYC skyline in the background, visible from here on clear days. Still a couple very scattered trees with some fall color. 95%+ are either brown or bare at this point, this tree is a rarity.

windy yesterday after the cold front cleared. Enough there was waves on the harbors of the north shore (usually little waves since open ocean). Sunken Meadow later in the day

don't see any tire tracks surrounding your car. did you go for a walk and it got snowed in? How was driving out in the snow? Looks not that deep so doable just a bit slippery. I imagine it handles well in snow with winter tires and AWD.

I imagine it handles well in snow with winter tires and AWD. I think the tracks are just washed out in the image. You can kinda see them. It drives pretty well. Main hazard is just spinning out from not using the brakes properly. It's not too icy at the moment though. The cold temps really help keep the snow decent to drive/walk on.

First time of the season to see frost on the ground this morning. My PWS got down to 32F but disappointingly the airport didn't get below 34F.

Spent a few days in Alsace (eastern France) earlier this week. Arrived under bright sun and temperatures straddling the freezing mark. The day after was overcast, with a high of -2°C (28°F): It wasn't hard to escape the gloom though, just had to drive to neighboring hilltops: Crappy oceanic air came in the day after, which subsequently featured a largish diurnal (-8 to 9°C, 18 to 48°F): Some ice on the fountains Hideously mild airmass can be spotted just by looking at the sky: Christmassy streetviews

My favourite time of year in Auckland, nice and colourful before things start to turn brown in mid-late January. The Jacarandas actually seem a little bit late this year despite the warm december we've had, although it was a cool and cloudy spring.
