There needs to be an F option...
It's an A- for me. Rains a bit too much but very nice temps and a liveable latitude.

Cool crummers, too cloudy, and too wet. The crummer record highs are about 15-20C too low lol! I call bullshit on the record winter lows though, no way Auckland would've ever got to -3.9C, even that -1.7C is suspect.

D+ Well those -3.9C, -1.7C were taking at sheltered locations in inland suburbs I think and if that is the case the record high is then around 34C/35C I think. However, Auckland (Mangere) has never recorded temperatures that cold.

E. Too much rain, especially in winter and itโs too mild and boring.

B for me -with those rain days and low sunshine, it should really be a B-, but whenever I've visited there, it's seem to be a short downpour, humid, bright sun sort of place. And it's a climate where you can grow bananas, so that's an automatic B.
Less summer rain than my climate, but it doesn't seem as dry.

D - Livable, that's all it has going for it. Really? This should be like heaven for a Welshie Much warmer rain, fewer rain days, more sun and warmer summers than anywhere in Wales let alone London?

The fact they receive frequent thunderstorms gets a grade B-. Monthly precipitation is a bit too excessive between April to October, other components are really pleasant. Only looking at the components without thunderstorms I could give A- at maximum.

Nope, Auckland is far too moderated for my preference. The record high is much weaker than even my location, but the limited cold potential is the real achilles heel.

D+, nice winters but boring summers and dreadful humidity year-round. Seems even worse than Lima

Strong D. Pleasant, but quite bland. Wellington is much better.

No to mention the much higher sunshine and lower rain days.

Record high is 34.4C, not 30.5C That's better, but still weaker than my ocation and large parts of the UK, which is hardly a hot spot for heatwaves. Having less heat potential than large parts of the UK is immediately a fail in my book. But as I've said, the lack of winter cold is the main issue.

If Auckland is 'bland', then how could Wellington possibly be better is beyond me, that city is the definition of a 'bland' climate, LOL Wellington is much windier, and receives far more gales than Auckland. Storms and gales are what make a climate 'fun', in my opinion. My worst climates are those like Los Angeles; endless sunshine, and no storms or gales.

I would much rather live in a climate which has a far superior climate year round rather than one which receives a small heatwave once every 5 years. Also inland suburbs do have warmer & colder temperatures. My main issue with Auckland is the lack of extreme temperatures in Summer. Last February, my local station recorded an average high of 27.5C but the record high was only 2C higher, however in winter it will often get colder.
